Cookie Policy
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a data file that is temporarily stored on your hard drive. This is done so that the website can recognize your computer and 'remember' your settings when you return to abeautycare.dk.
For example, a cookie may store:
- the contents of a shopping cart
- whether you are logged in
- how the website is used
A cookie cannot spread computer viruses or other malicious programs. Most often, they help analyze how the website is used so that the web editor can improve the user experience. Cookies may be necessary to provide a service.
As a rule, cookies are automatically deleted from the browser when it is closed. These cookies are called session cookies. However, cookies can also be set with an expiration date, so that data exists for a shorter or longer period. Such cookies are called permanent cookies and are typically stored on the hard disk.
In addition, one usually distinguishes between first-party cookies and third-party cookies. First-party cookies are set by the page that the user visits. Third-party cookies, also known as tracking cookies, are set by a third party who has elements embedded on the page that the user visits. Third-party cookies are set by web analytics programs such as Google Analytics.
First-party cookies
At abeautycare.dk we primarily use cookies for web analysis in order to optimize the experience of the websites.
Cookies from our websites are specifically used to register which pages have been viewed, as well as how long you have been on the website. The use of these cookies does not compromise your security by using our websites.
Third-party cookies
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to analyze how users use the websites. The cookies collect information about traffic data, including your IP address. This non-personally identifiable information is stored on Google's servers in the United States. From Google Analytics we get reports on the activity on absolutbeauty.dk. Google Analytics may disclose the information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process the information on Google Analytics' behalf.
Google Analytics sets two types of cookies:
A permanent cookie that shows whether the user is recurring, where the user comes from, which search engine has been used, etc. Permanent cookies are stored on your hard drive until they expire, or until you delete them yourself.
Session cookies are used to show when and for how long a user is on the site. Session cookies expire after each session, ie when you close your tab or browser. Google Analytics does not link your IP address with any other information held by Google Analytics.
How to reject the use of cookies
You can refuse to use cookies on your computer by changing the relevant settings in your browser. However, be aware that you may not be able to use all of the site's features if cookies are turned off. Since a cookie is with you as a client, it is always possible for you to see, change or delete these cookies. We hope that you will allow the cookies we set as they help us improve our websites.
If you do not want to receive cookies from abeautycare.dk, you can in most newer browsers, select advanced cookie settings under internet settings and add this domain to the list of websites from which you want to block cookies. Here you can also delete individual cookies or all the cookies that your browser has stored.
If you do not want your visit to be recorded by Google Analytics, you can use Google's Opt-Out Browser Add-on. Please note that if you install this browser plugin, your visits to other sites that use Google Analytics will not be recorded either.
